My Current Night Time Skin Care Routine - Winter

In the last 4-5 months my night time and day time skin care routines have completely changed. I have noticed significant changes in my skin since I changed my routines mainly involving the disappearance of my acne (I used to use an acne spot treatment everyday but now I rarely use it!). As you can see above I have invested some money into my skin care and it has paid off. Before this routine I was doing the bare minimum for my skin and only washed my face once a day (as much as I hate to admit it). I now wash, tone and moisturize my face twice day, and have added some extra things to my routine that I will discuss below. I drink a lot of water everyday and I really listen to my skin. If something isnโ€™t working or my skin is telling me I need a break from a certain product I listen to it.

I start by cleansing my skin using the Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser and my Clarisonic Mia 2. I have been trying out many different cleansers with my Mia 2 and this has just been the one that I have been enjoying using with my Clarisonic. There is nothing special about it I just really like the foam and I think it really works well with the Clarisonic. I am not very picky with cleansers and switch them regularly.

Then I wipe off any excess makeup left on after cleansing using a cotton pad and the Aveeno Positively Radiant Toner. I have used this toner for years because I find it to be very gentle and even gentle enough to use around the eyes (I always have a hard time getting all of my mascara off). I then spray my face with the Lush Tea Tree Water Toner Water. This step makes my face feel so refreshed. This may be a little over board with the toner but lately I have found myself skipping the Aveeno toner as there is barely any makeup left on my skin after using the Clarisonic. Especially if I donโ€™t wear mascara during the day.

After getting all of my makeup off of my face I use the Lโ€™Oreal Youth Code Texture Perfecter. This literally just improves the texture of my skin and takes care of large pores, and fine lines and wrinkles. I put this all over my face but I really concentrate on using this on my forehead and neck. Lastly I moisturize with Josie Maran 100% Argan Oil - Light and Vaseline Lip Butter.

This routine may be a lot for some people but it seems to be working for me. I thought I would post this part of my skin care routine now because I donโ€™t see it changing for awhile. I have combination and oily skin so I really focus on trying to control my oil and acne. I also try to use face masks a couple of times a week. Lately I have been enjoying the Lush Cupcake mask which is a freshly made mask.
